How many lights do I need for my boat?+
We recommend approx. one light every 1.5 meters of railing. Example: A 15 m yacht with a full railing is ideally illuminated with 20 lights.
In what packaging and colors are the lights available?+
Each unit is delivered in packs of 4. You can choose between Warm White (2700K) – cozy and atmospheric – or Neutral White (3500K) – clear and practical.
How do I install the lights?+
Installation takes just a few seconds: 1) Switch ON using the discreet, waterproof slider. 2) Clip the light onto the railing (solar panel facing inward, clip opening outboard). 3) At dusk, the lights will automatically turn on, and they'll switch off at sunrise.
Are the lights durable enough for marine use?+
Yes. Each unit is built for demanding yacht environments: real-glass solar panel for efficient charging, UV- and seawater-resistant housing, splash-proof (IPX4) and heat-resistant up to 80°C, with a long LED lifetime of approx. 15,000 hours.
How long do the lights shine?+
Depending on sunlight and charging conditions, the runtime is 5 to 10 hours per night. In optimal conditions, up to 10 hours are possible.
Can the lights be moved once installed?+
Absolutely. The clip-on design allows you to slide the light along the railing or remove it in seconds — for example, when attaching fenders.
How do I maintain the lights?+
The Ecstasea® Solar Railing Light is practically maintenance-free: wipe with a damp cloth (freshwater) if needed, keep the solar panel free of dirt or salt, do not submerge in water, and switch OFF during long storage periods (e.g. winter).
What type of battery is used?+
Each light uses a NiMH AA 1.5V, 800mAh rechargeable battery, which can be replaced by a professional if needed.
Do the lights dazzle my neighbors in the marina?+
No. The lights are designed for atmospheric, neighbor-friendly illumination with a glare-free light beam, so you can enjoy evenings on deck without disturbing others.
